Exam monitors observe exams and provide feedback to the examiners, chief examiners and LI staff as necessary. They don’t undertake any part of the candidate assessment or participate in the exam questions.
We ask that monitors have been chartered for at least five years. However, we may consider applications with less than five years’ Chartership based on relevant experience with the Pathway – for instance, working alongside Pathway candidates as mentors or supervisors.
Being a monitor will give you the experience of attending the exams without committing to becoming an examiner. (Although it would be great if, after experiencing the exams as a monitor, you decide to apply to become an examiner too!)
