I am about to go travelling for a year. What should I do?

CPD and travel breaks

Many members take career breaks to undertake international travel. If you do this, you should review your CPD goals. You should consider:

• the learning experience you will gain via your travel and your study of other countries and their approach to landscape
• your ability to keep up to date on landscape issues at home while you are away (such as through structured reading of the digital issue of Landscape, the journal of the Landscape Institute, or review of the LI website)
