Returning to the industry trade show for 2019, in association with the Landscape Institute, is PechaKucha 20×20 – a lively and informal series of presentations where landscape professionals, including LI President Elect Jane Findlay, will present 20 images for 20 seconds each

On Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 September 2019, hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors will amass at Battersea Park in London for the free industry trade show LANDSCAPE. The show promises opportunities to network, meet industry experts and source products from living plants, trees and turf to stone, metalwork, tools and vehicles.

PechaKucha 20×20

Making its return for 2019, in association with the Landscape Institute, is PechaKucha 20×20.

Deriving from the Japanese term for the sound of ‘chit chat’, PechaKucha provides a lively and informal format to enlighten and inspire. Sessions take place as a series of presentations, where landscape professionals present 20 images for 20 seconds each. Presenters include:

  • Andrew Wilson from the London College of Garden Design
  • Nicole Brown from Huskisson Brown
  • Landscape Institute President Elect Jane Findlay, from FIRA
  • Dan Hitch from WATG
  • Armel Mourgue and Eugenia Grilli from Gillespies

This year’s topic is Things that make me go ‘wow!’. Join us for a complimentary drink from 5.15pm on Tuesday 17 September at the Central Bar Area.

Seminar programme

Also taking place at LANDSCAPE 2019 is a seminar programme that aims to be its most diverse and inspiring yet. Since the 2018 Show, the team at LANDSCAPE has been working to build a seminar programme that anyone can enjoy and learn from, regardless of their area of interest or expertise.

LANDSCAPE monitors landscape industry trends to ensure its seminar programme remains relevant to practitioners. Paul Lincoln, the LI’s executive creative director and managing editor of the LI journal, will host Carolyn Willitts’s and Andrew Wilson’s Planting and Landscape Design seminar session on Tuesday 17 September. LANDSCAPE is also excited to welcome speakers including Cleve West, Andrew Fisher Tomlin, Robert Myers, Arit Anderson, Helen Elks-Smith, Rosemary Coldstream, John Wyer and Philippa O’Brien to Battersea Park this September.

Meet the Designer

Also returning to this year’s show are the ‘Meet the Designer’ sessions. If you’ve ever wondered how the biggest names in landscaping got to where they are today, this is your opportunity to find out about the lives of some leading garden designers.

This year’s prestigious line-up features Jonathan Snow, Charlotte Rowe, Kate Gould and James Alexander-Sinclair. The Meet the Designer sessions will be held on Wednesday 18 September at the Central Bar between 11:15am and 3:15pm.

To register for your free entry to the show, visit www.landscapeshow.co.uk/register. Entry grants access to the exhibition hall, PechaKucha, Meet the Designer and the 44 seminar sessions taking place.
