Digital Realities

    0

Digital Realities is the collective term for Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR). These are methods of visualising a digital object or environment in a more natural and intuitive way. They provide the opportunity to overlay data making it easily accessible and relevant.

This Technical Note explains each and gives some examples of how they are currently being, or have the potential to be, applied to Landscape Architecture, Landscape Planning and Landscape Management.

This is a fast-moving field of technology and it should be noted that the examples given in this Note will rapidly become out of date. Suggestions for updates are invited.
