The Landscape Technician Apprenticeship has a funding band of up to £9000 per apprentice. The funding band for the Chartered Landscape Professional will be set when this is fully approved.
This funding is for the cost of apprentice training and assessment but not for salaries. Employers who pay the Apprenticeship Levy i.e. with a payroll of £3million per annum or more will be able to use their Levy up to the funding band. For non-Levy payers 95% of the apprenticeship training and assessment costs (up to the funding band) will be paid for by the Government and employers will need to pay the remaining 5%. However, employers with less than 50 employees will receive 100% from Government. Employers who do not pay the apprenticeship levy are able to reserve apprenticeship funding through the apprenticeship service.
